::Thanks, Tom. Reading that, it seems this page was made just because it could, you know? So that all the types of users could have a description. However, that thinking leads to a series of stubby pages which become a little confusing and cluttersome. Beyond sysop, where a great deal of additional access is granted, there's seemingly not a whole lot more assigned to bureaucrats, developers, etc. What I'm thinking might be a better solution is ''one page'' on which the various levels of wiki-access are outlined. One-stop shopping.

::Consider: if this were a main namespace article, would you consider it worthwhile to roll this info into the main character's article, or add additional info to this article to justify its separate existence? I know I would. If there are no additional things to be said about bureaucrats, perhaps they don't need their own separate page, but a separate section in a generic page concerning all users with access priveleges beyond User. (Note - if you think this should be in a more visible location in order to get more voices in here, feel free to move it.) {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 08:45, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Is this really the extent of the extra powers of a bureaucrat? To assig sysophood and to rename accounts? Wouldn't it be better to have this extremely limited info as a subcategory on the proposed "Administrator" page where the role of the Sysop would be outlined? It seems such a minor difference to merit such a short page. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 02:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Consider: if this were a main namespace article, would you consider it worthwhile to roll this info into the main character's article, or add additional info to this article to justify its separate existence? I know I would. If there are no additional things to be said about bureaucrats, perhaps they don't need their own separate page, but a separate section in a generic page concerning all users with access priveleges beyond User.
