I agree with Qermaq.  The software is no longer Macromedia Flash and is no longer proprieted by Macromedia.  The flash player is Adobe Flash, but the edit software is just Flash. {{User:Ten Ten/sig}} 20:58, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Macromedia is no more

Guys, Macromedia was bought by Adobe Systems.

So, it should be called Adobe Flash, or something.

Not really. Flash Pro is still called Macromedia Flash on the Adobe website, while the Flash player is now called Adobe Flash. I think it's safe to continue calling it Macromedia Flash. — Loafing 09:35, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Opera 9

Opera 9, the latest release, does not have Flash pre-installed. It's interesting that when you access H*R with Opera 9 without Flash installed, there's no little "download Flash Player" or anything, they ought to do that. But just for future reference - Opera 9 users will need to download the Flash player separately. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:15, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Move?

Propose move to Flash. The program is now owned and supported by Adobe, but "Adobe Flash" is not the name of the program, as far as I can see. It's "Flash" by the company Adobe. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:06, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree. "Flash" is an accurate name, and by using it, we will avoid the whole Macromedia/Adobe discussion. We'll also be safe if Google buys them out ;-) Loafing 21:03, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
