What's wrong with not typing the "the"? If the "the" is meant to be suppressed entirely, then I can see this template's use. This conversation applies equally to Template:about-nothe as this one. Why is this needed? What's wrong with not typing the "the"? If the "the" is meant to be suppressed entirely, then I can see this template's use. But, if a "the" is grammatically correct, it's cheaper bytewise to allow the template to add it than use this template. - Qermaq - (T/C)
