::Hm, yeah, I think I can see how that would work.  The shaking hand would have to be the right hand for that to work, so it only makes sense of Sweden is looking away fom the "camera" and you're seeing the underside of the left hand.  You can kind of tell that's what hey're trying to do, as the right hand of the Strongbadia flag come from behind it, while the right hand of Sweeden comes from in front.  Opposite for the left hands.  Maybe screwy perspective, but yeah.. I could see that it might not quite qualify as a goof. It just looks a bit off at first glance.  [[User:HeWhoYerfs|HeWhoYerfs]] 12:58, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Ech, I phrased my recent contribution terribly.  Didn't consider it for as long as I should have.  The revised version is much better, thanks.  [[User:Jack Hare|Jack Hare]] 18:41, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Monty Python and the Holy Subtitles (Declined)

The pseudo-Swedish subtitles are very (too?) similar to the opening credits of Monty Python's Holy Grail.

  • Decline There is a very key difference between them. In Monty Python, the subtitles are meant to look like they're in a foreign language when they're not. In little questions, they are meant to look English, translating pseudo-English being spoken to a Swede. That's not close enough for me. --Jay 05:17, 14 Mar 2005 (MST)

  • Decline. Entirely different subtitle gags - they just happen to share a common language. Also, the Holy Grail subtitles are not accompanied by the original audio that the subtitles are translating (I *know* there isn't an original audio track - I'm making a point here). And one more thing, the subtitles in 'little questions' are in English, not even QUASI-psuedo-Swedish. --TheEggman 23:03, 14 Mar 2005 (MST)

Who's checkin' that E-Mail?

It sounds to me like in his little pre-email (prE-Mail?) song that he's saying "All the ladies want to know, a-who's checkin' that E-mail (beat) with Strong Bad?" I'm kinda deaf, so I may be wrong on this. Can someone else see if they hear the same thing?

I don't, but I'll remember to say "prE-Mail" again. I like that. —BazookaJoe 04:11, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

Close enough, I think. HeWhoYerfs 06:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Sweden

And is it just me, or does the Flag of Sweden appear to have two right hands? HeWhoYerfs 06:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

The left hands of both flags are identical (but mirrored). Strong Badia's hand looks good, but the mirrored version on the flag of Sweden looks out of place. This is probably because the outside of Strong Badia's left hand makes for a bad inside of Sweden's left hand. So yeah, the perspective is wrong, but I don't know if that's enough for a goof. Loafing 11:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
