The two weeks following different town were filled with much angst, as faithful Strong Bad Email fans woke up on those Monday mornings without a new Email. After being teased by Teen Girl Squad Issue 5, Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2, and Puppet Time, many people were getting impatient waiting for the 100th Strong Bad Email.  Several of these people went so far as to check the expected URL for the Email directly, in hopes that they could see the Email as soon as possible.  The only way this could be done was to type "http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail100.html" into their address bar, since this address would follow the format used for the previous ninety-nine Emails.  These users kept getting the usual 404'd page, until about 2:20 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, which was when they were greeted by Not the 100th Email!!!, a cartoon resembling the Internet Explorer 6 error page in which Strong Bad taunts the viewer for trying to take a sneak peak at the 100th Email and Homestar Runner adds to the hilarity. At the end, the viewer is told to "keep [their] pants on, for real". This is also one of very few pre-2007 toons to have not yet been released on DVD. sbemail100.html (more...)

The Announcer

The Announcer's name tells all, as he serves as an announcer or host wherever one is needed. He doesn't really let his personality show through, so we know little of him as a character, except that he does seem to be eager to do his job. He first appeared in the original Homestar Runner children's book, and hasn't really changed much since then. While he rarely actually appears on-screen, his voice (earnest and mostly British) is used all the time. He resembles the members of The Barbershop Trio. (more...)
