According to Strong Bad's "unphotographic memory", Don Knotts lived in Roman times with the Old-Timey characters, and was "always showing up".

The real Don Knotts (July 21, 1924–February 24, 2006) was a well-known American actor, best known for playing Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show and Mr. Furley on Three's Company. He passed away less than two months after the Strong Bad Email high school was released.
