The Old Timey Radios are tube radios used in the Old-Timey era.
The radio from Ballad of The Sneak is a simple Cathedral-style radio, while the radio from the email radio is modeled after a real Cathedral-style radio, an RCA model R-5 "Radiolette" four tube TRF receiver from 1933. The lightning bolts which seem to emit from the speaker are a cartoon representation of electronically produced sound waves.
