Template talk:welcome

Is it an okay idea to have a template for this? I just put this template here now, so I'm wondering if I should have it for others who don't know what to say when welcoming. --Darklinkskywalker 21:19, 14 Jul 2005 (UTC)

This is what I find (an almost word-for-word copy) on most pages with welcomes on them, so I figured I would just make a template for them to make them quick and easier. —↑_{Darklinkskywalker}|^{Talk_|i did this stuff_}↓

That's not what I mean. I mean I don't like this cookie-cutter welcome message at all. I'm a proponent of only offering help if people look like they need it, so when I welcome somebody, I just say "welcome" and help them with the specific thing they look to be struggling with.
