This happened because there were a few hours of inactivity on the page, and it did not seem that you were still actively working on it. It is not generally possible on the wiki to "reserve" a page for a long time. If you put an <nowiki>{{inprogress}}</nowiki> note on a page, then people will assume that you are working on it right now, not that you might come back tomorrow. So far, editors have been holding back because of your "in progress" note. Please remove the <nowiki>{{inprogress}}</nowiki> note from the top of the page if you are not intending to currently work on a substantial part. So, that was just to let you know that the page hasn't been "hijacked", it's just that nobody "owns" a page here at the wiki.
