Um, #125 is referencing itself. 125 is when he says the name if the opera is Sbemail, not when everyone shouts it. That's the lyrics itself. + | :Although the last word is, on the one hand, referencing itself, the list is still correct the way it is. The last word can come from anywhere in the email (all the way from "loading" through to The Paper)... On the other hand, it would be more accurate to say that the last word doesn't reference ''anything''.
+ | |||
+ | :Here's why: The first 124 words are ''direct audio samples'' of the previous emails (as opposed to, say, Strong Bad merely reading them from a list), but the 125th word is not sampled from anywhere — it's ''original'' in its own right, and therefore appropriate for the list.
+ | |||
+ | :You can tell that the two instances of the word are different, because when Strong Bad says "sbemail" as he's typing, it's not as drawn out or as shouted as at the end. Second, and more important, '''Strong Bad is alone at the beginning, but the ''whole cast'' yells "SBEMAIL!!" from the stage''' (except The Poopsmith, I suppose, and possibly The Cheat, too, now that I think about it).

Not too much, not too little... just right
Make sure there's enough of the quote so that avid fans of Homestar Runner can glance at it and think: "Ah ha! I remember that one!" Often not much is needed; the title of the email is usually enough of a clue. But in several cases, like the few I've listed below, perhaps a little more is warranted:
- caffeine - The quote is generic enough that "Dear Justin..." helps tremendously with the context. I'd stop there (after "Justin"), except I really like the sound of his town: Murfreesboro.
- your friends - This one's the longest, but here's a good example of where all of it is necessary. Nothing can be left out without leaving out something important.
- local news - You gotta have the whole grammar song. Scalawags.

Early contributions
I've filled in every non-ambiguous word (that is, every word that isn't heard more than once by the appropriate speaker in the email in question.) Maybe later I can help argue about which occurrance of each and every word is the correct one, but for now I gots to jet. Put the inevitable arguments... er, debates... here. --Jay 20:12, 22 Feb 2005 (MST)
Oh, shoot, I didn't read this and just started filling it in with the first occurrence of every word. You may want to revert some of those. I'm really sorry!okay, undid all of them except extra plug, which is pretty definite.
Devilish laugh
Okay, go ahead and continue the context. But the "devilish laugh!" must stay there because Strong Bad says it, and it's the closest thing to the Oh-ho-hos. --Jay 22:01, 22 Feb 2005 (MST)
Character Name Modifications
I'm thinkin' we should un-bold the characters; that is, if another character says the quote. I was reading through it and kept getting caught up with the said bolded character names and bolded words. Maybe we should alter the character names to italics (or something other than bold). Comments? →[[User:FireBird|FireBird]]
- I GRAYED the names of the characters. I figured the only way to find out whether we all thought this was a good idea or not was to do it and let people see how it looks. If people like it, then we'll keep it. Or if there is a concensus that we need to change it back, then we can, but please don't just revert the page until people have had a chance to try it out and chime in with their opinions. -- It's dot com 17:57, 23 Feb 2005 (MST)
Ah. I like it. →[[User:FireBird|FireBird]]
- I've had a chance to really look at it, and I can say I like it, too. → It's dot com
radio
I swear, radio's word is incorrect. The Deathly Pallor sounds nothing like the "yeah" that's actually used in the song. In actuality, I think that it's one of the "yeah"s said by the audience (of sorts) during the "drive time morning show" part. --Shadow Hog 14:48, 24 Feb 2005 (MST)
- Good catch, Shadow Hog. You're absolutely right. It shall be fixed posthaste!
- On a similar note, I don't think the "I" is right in "lackey" (I think it's the one after the one listed), and I haven't had a chance to investigate whether the right "pizzaz" is in "pizzaz". -- It's dot com 17:36, 24 Feb 2005 (MST)
- The canned audience person says "yeah!" twice during radio. Is is the first one or the second one? Does it matter?
- It's the first one. I saved the sound clips as .WAVs and compared them back to back. And of course it matters (well, maybe not in the grand sceme of things, but it is nice to get as close to all of these correct as we can). -- It's dot com 06:34, 25 Feb 2005 (MST)
Good Job
Good Job guys, I didn't have the patience to go through all βdem songs and figure out which word was whose. Well Done! - Dr Haggis - Talk 20:42, 26 Feb 2005 (MST)
- Yeah, I recently used this page to show a friend just how cool we all are. Seriously, how cool is this!? -- Tom 10:09, 3 Mar 2005 (MST)
SBEMAIL
