Ah, The Cheatbot! I would love a stuffed grape leaf!
The Cheatbot is a bot used by It's dot com. Currently, it can delete pages and has very sophisticated search and replace capabilities. If you have a task that The Cheatbot can handle, why not post it on the talk page? Who knows, maybe it will even get done!
The Cheatbot was built from scratch as a MediaWiki extension. It is controlled by a special page and interacts with the database directly (thus, compared to the way most wiki bots operate, it really does cheat).
Projects
- Fixed links after a major page move: Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon) → Homestar Runner (body of work) (or Homestar Runner universe if the context could be determined)
- Deleted MediaWiki-namespace pages that for various reasons remained after the last upgrade but were no longer needed.
- Deleted obsolete redirects.
- Standardized links to several article titles and helped purge Special:Wantedpages for the redirects deleted above.
- Removed unnecessary piped links from articles and project pages.
- Streamlined instances of the {{sbenav}} template on Strong Bad Emails by removing obsolete variables.
- Standardized alphabetization of templates within categories.
- Fixed single and double quotes to be straight quotes.
