Strange Templates

I'm curious, why do you have a template that does nothing but insert a link? It seems like all you're doing is causing system resources to be used up unnecessarily. Is there some hidden benefit to this I'm not seeing? — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 19:44, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Actually, now that I'm looking a little more closely I'm seeing all kinds of weird templates that belong to you. Why are you replacing standard wiki code with unnecessarily long template code and causing unnecessary strain on the server in the process? — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 19:50, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
