Foods being used as phones is a common habit that Homestar Runner has. He appears to use it with foods he likes, and doesn't understand the fact that these items aren't actually phones.
Appearances

- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2 - Homestar uses a banana that he thinks is Pom Pom's cell phone to text message Marzipan.
