Don Knotts, according to Strong Bad's "unphotographic memory", lived in Roman times. The Old-Timey Homestar Runner characters were together in those days (even before Free Petry Dish, USA times), and Knotts was "always showing up".
The real Don Knotts was a well-known American actor, best known for playing Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show. He also twice guest-starred in the New Scooby-Doo Movies cartoons. He passed away less than two months after the email highschool was made.
