Hey Saxon, indenting your comments on talk pages will help other editors understand which other comments you are replying to. Not correctly indenting a comment will confuse others, as they will assume that you started a new sub-thread in the current section. It will also break the flow of the discussion. If you want others to properly understand your comments, you should use indentation. See [[Help:List#Indentation]] for help on how to indent your comments. Thanks.{{User:Loafing/sig}} 04:33, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Since apparently neither my nor Loafing's comments earlier have worked, I'll reiterate: Your recent behaviour in talking with Qermaq was incivil, and this is not acceptable at this wiki. Please be polite, and stop being sarcastic toward him. Please note that indenting your post is ''not'' editing its content and was perfectly acceptable, as was Qermaq's decision to fix your signature to conform to our guidelines. Thank you. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 23:23, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We're glad to have you as a member. If you need any help, feel free to ask anyone on the welcoming committee. You can also post questions on the FAQ talk page.

Here are some tips to get you started:

  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
  • Read up on the rules and guidelines for your user page.
  • If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to The Stick.
  • If you're looking for more community interaction, you can also register over at our forum.
  • Above all, be sure to be bold and have fun!

Feel free to delort this message when you're done reading it. (In general, it's considered poor etiquette to remove others' comments from your talk page, but this message is just here to be helpful. It's fine to remove it once you don't need it.) I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.

Sincerely,
Heimstern Läufer and "The Homestar Runner Wiki Welcoming Committee", 04:49, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Sigs and Talk

Hi, hope you enjoy the wiki. According to our signature policy, your sig text must use either your user name or "it must be something that suggests your username". As "The Ugly Guy" doesn't follow this rule, I altered your sig on Talk:Teen Girl Squad Issue 10. Normally I'd never alter someone else's talk post, but in this case I would assume you'd want to be within the policy. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:03, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Your response to Qermaq was unacceptable. Telling someone "you're as bad as the fascists at Wikipedia" is a personal attack, and personal attacks are not tolerated at this wiki. Comment on the contributions, not the editor. If you make further personal attacks you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Heimstern Läufer 02:29, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
And you are still using "The Ugly Guy" as your signature. Please read and follow the policies that Qermaq was kind enough to point out for you. And next time someone tries to help you, please be a bit more thankful. Loafing 03:14, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Indenting

Hey Saxon, indenting your comments on talk pages will help other editors understand which other comments you are replying to. Not correctly indenting a comment will confuse others, as they will assume that you started a new sub-thread in the current section. It will also break the flow of the discussion. If you want others to properly understand your comments, you should use indentation. See Help:List#Indentation for help on how to indent your comments. Thanks. Loafing 04:33, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
