As most of you may know, one can't simply create a comittee (especially not in the main namespace). The existing committies were created after quite a bit of discussion regarding their necessity. Now, this "committee" is basically what the entire wiki is for. Every user on the wiki adds information to articles that need them, on a regular basis. A committee with this very function would be even worse than the list on HRWiki:Recent changes patrol, since the entire committee would be just a list. In short, the first question is: What does this committee function as, that doesn't already exist? — Lapper (talk) 21:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Agree with Lapper. This is what the wiki is all about. We don't need a committee to tell us to do what we're already doing naturally. --DorianGray

Come now, there's no point in telling us that you haven't seen us come up with any ideas; you just registered yesterday. To rattle off a few, Loafing pioneered the subtitles project, I've cranked out about 15 help pages, and Dorian does various meep-related things that are probably noteworthy. Also, you act as though we're against you and that this is a personal attack or vendetta on you, rather than criticism of the idea for an addition committee. You need to understand that the idea was (1) your first, (2) not the greatest, and (3) hopefully not your last. I'm not sure what you mean by your second comment; "wikignoming" is the pruning of various articles and fixing things up. Hey, sorry Mr. Jangles, I didn't intend my comment to be mean or anything. I was trying to make it obvious why we don't think that we need this committee. Concur with deletion: I've no doubt this was created with the best of intentions, but I don't see that it performs any useful function per Lapper and Loafing's comments. Heimstern Läufer 21:38, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

There you go again; just because we don't think it's a good idea doesn't mean you need to justify it with your age. What you need to do is own up to the fact that yes, you did think of this and the concensus is negative. But guess what? No one's looking down on you. What we don't need is a "so what?" attitude.
