Hoisin Sauce is a Chinese dipping sauce.
In keep cool, Strong Bad and Strong Mad put a spoonfull of Hoisin Sauce on Strong Sad's head to determine the temperature. While it is not clear as to why they did this, they were, nevertheless, still able to procure an accurate answer from him.
