Can someone please get the mac link for me? --Color Printer 18:51, 23 Jan 2005 (MST)

Done. -- Tom 21:17, 23 Jan 2005 (MST)

The exe link doesn't seem to work anymore (it asks for a username and password - probably something to do with the fact it's an exe) http://homestarrunner.kitkorp.com/take-a-break.exe works though. phlip 15:57, 7 Apr 2005 (MDT)

Never mind, it works now. phlip 17:29, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
And now it's back to not working again... I think I'll just add the link to the article and be done with it. phlip 15:36, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
Not too long ago I could download the .exe from the site without any problems, but today I am again asked for a password. Whatever the reason is, it seems to come and go. — It's dot com 19:16, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Hmm... I could download it with Firefox today. From both the link on the article and the easter egg in "huttah!". But I do know that Firefox supports usernames and passwords... --68.145.103.189 02:01, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sound

Some people say that the bird makes a sound in the downloaded version (NOT the one in huttah! itself!!!) Some say it doesn't. I downloaded it, and I hear NOTHING WHATSOEVER from it. Consensus? --Jay (Gobble) 01:39, 5 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] A first

This is not main-article notable, but notable nonetheless - I believe this is the first time SB ever ran a program (other than email) without using 'run "filemane"'. Considering he uses that syntax in 3 Compy emails, it ought to be mentioned... here. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:31, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Punctuation and quotes

Just to avoid a revert war, I thought I'd post a bit on this topic.

When using direct address, we normally use the quoted punctuation as the terminal punctuation, unless the full sentence's punctuation would be stronger. For example, my friend said, "Don't eat that burrito." I asked, "Why?" (Note the quote is a question, so altough the full sentence would use a period being a statement, the question mark overrules.) Do you know why he said "Don't eat that burrito"? Just so I would say "Why?"!

However, it's common today to not do this with titles, terms set off with quotes, etc. (And by extension, the links on a webpage.) The whole title as orthographically represented is used, and any included punctuation is not considered sentence punctuation in normal situations. While in Baltimore, we saw Annie!. Have you ever seen Oliver!? My favorite sbemail is huttah!.

Hope this clears up any confusion. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:44, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
