Challenge

Correct me if I'm wrong but are you asking for a CHALLENGE?
Then you're in the right place!

This page is nearly complete, but we're still missing some
toughies, and it's not easy to see at a glance which ones
they are. So here's the list:

48. ghosts 86. no loafing
55. cheat talk 96. lackey
56. current status 104. theme park
72. crazy cartoon 114. the facts
83. labor day

Be sure to update this list when you figure one out.
Earn triple hit points if you get "lackey".

Not too much, not too little... just right

Make sure there's enough of the quote so that avid fans of Homestar Runner can glance at it and think: "Ah ha! I remember that one!" Often not much is needed; the title of the email is usually enough of a clue. But in several cases, like the few I've listed below, perhaps a little more is warranted:

  • caffeine - The quote is generic enough that "Dear Justin..." helps tremendously with the context. I'd stop there (after "Justin"), except I really like the sound of his town: Murfreesboro.
  • your friends - This one's the longest, but here's a good example of where all of it is necessary. Nothing can be left out without leaving out something important.
  • local news - You gotta have the whole grammar song. Scalawags.

Early contributions

I've filled in every non-ambiguous word (that is, every word that isn't heard more than once by the appropriate speaker in the email in question.) Maybe later I can help argue about which occurrance of each and every word is the correct one, but for now I gots to jet. Put the inevitable arguments... er, debates... here. --Jay 20:12, 22 Feb 2005 (MST)

Oh, shoot, I didn't read this and just started filling it in with the first occurrence of every word. You may want to revert some of those. I'm really sorry! okay, undid all of them except extra plug, which is pretty definite.

Devilish laugh

Okay, go ahead and continue the context. But the "devilish laugh!" must stay there because Strong Bad says it, and it's the closest thing to the Oh-ho-hos. --Jay 22:01, 22 Feb 2005 (MST)
