Just wanted to thank the admins for this. Now we have a search tool that can actually search for multi-word strings! Too lazy to look up which of the three versions added this, but apparently it was long overdue. [[User:Octan|Octan]] 05:39, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 05:39, 18 June 2009

We are pleased to announce that we have upgraded to MediaWiki 1.15. We have also finally adopted the clean /wiki/-style for our URLs. (Legacy URLs should still work just fine.) Quite a few little things have been updated and tweaked, so please let us know if you encounter any glitches. — It's dot com 14:45, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Subtitles not working

If the subtitles stopped working for you when using the Greasemonkey script, see User talk:Phlip/Greasemonkey#subtitles stopped working. — It's dot com 16:35, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

File/image syntax

I noticed with the upgrade, Image: has been replaced with the more generic File:. Going forward should we use File: when linking to images, or does it matter either way? wbwolf (t | ed) 19:52, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

From a technical standpoint, they're identical, especially because we so rarely upload anything but images, and so it doesn't really matter. The larger question, however, is outside the scope of this talk page. We should discuss it elsewhere once we've had a chance to get used to the new version. — It's dot com 20:18, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Special:Subtitleslist error

When Special:Subtitleslist is accessed, it says that there is an error. Would this be from the upgrade to MediaWiki 1.15? That'sBupkis (Talk | contribs) 00:01, 14 June 2009 (UTC) (left unsigned)

Fixed. Thanks! — It's dot com 00:38, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

User:First Time Here?

Has User:First Time Here? lost bot status or something? I found this in Recent Changes:

(diff) (hist) . . N! User talk:Kitties002‎; 12:50 . . (+1,853) . . First Time Here? (Talk | contribs | block) (→Some links to help get you started)

—but the "show bots" option was still hiding them. Never seen that before. --DorianGray 22:03, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

That's already fixed. Thanks. — It's dot com 22:03, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

User list sorting

When I try to sort users by creation date, I get the error:

A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "IndexPager::reallyDoQuery (UsersPager)". MySQL returned error "1176: Key 'PRIMARY' doesn't exist in table 'user' (208.53.37.233)".

It only happens when I search the whole user base, even If I specify a name. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:24, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Fixed. Thanks! — It's dot com 15:45, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
