The real Don Knotts (July 21, 1924–February 24, 2006) was a well-known American actor, best known for playing Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show and Mr. Furley on Three's Company. He also guest-starred twice in The New Scooby-Doo Movies cartoons and frequently on Matlock (also starring Andy Griffith). He died less than two months after the email highschool was released.
