Help:Signature

Hi there! This is Lapper from the recent changes patrol. I noticed you had a question and I'm here to help. Here's how to create a signature:

1. Create a page for your signature here:

http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/User:(your_user_name)/sig

2. Edit the page and insert this text:

[[User:(your_user_name)|(Your user name)]]

3. If you want your name to be colored or have a different font, insert this text instead of the text in number two:

[[User:(your_user_name)|<span style="font-family: (your font name here);color: (your color here);">
(Your user name)</span>]]

4. If you want to link to you talk page and your contributions page, insert this text after the text in numbers two or three:

([[User_talk:(your_user_name)|Talk]],[[Special:Contributions/(your_user_name)|Contributions]])

5. Once you have the signature created the way you want it, save the edit. Then go to your preferences page.

6. Once you are at your preferences page, change the text in the "Your nickname (for signatures)" box to this:

{{User:(your_user_name)/sig}}

7. Make sure the "" option is checked, then save your preferences and emtpy your cache. Now you can sign posts with four tildes (~~~~). The tilde can be found above the tab key. This will insert your signature and a time stamp!
