PG-13?

Can you guys give me a good reason why you keep censoring back the interview? Yes, it's wrong to put PG-13 language on a fansite for a PG website, but what's wrong with my foul language warning? I mean, if we censor every swear TBC say, should't we start censoring everytime Strong Bad says "crap" (a swear to some)? --Trogga

HRWiki:About. No swears. Ever. If someone cares that much about it they can read the actual interview. →FireBird
Plus 'crap' is on a slightly different level from '****', '***', and especially '****'. If we start allowing swears, it would lower the dignity of the Wiki. Before long, people would start swearing on all their talk comments, in the articles, and this wouldn't be a family safe site anymore. Besides, most people who really want to know what's behind the stars can usuall guess by the context, and there is always the source at the bottom too, yes. Thunderbird 05:11, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Still, I don't see anything wrong with an uncensored transcript with a warning. While I do hate trolls who add profanity to a family site, what if the site became more vulgar? (highly unlikely, but still) Would we censor transcripts for something that's not for kids anymore? If the interviews gave TBC freedom of speech, why can't we? --Trogga 16:07, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Trogga and I might not agree on a lot - but we DO agree on this point. It's one article that will never be transcribed properly if censored. I doubt everyone and his brother is going to start using profanities just because we transcribe an interview that contained them. --Jay (Talk) 16:11, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I also agree with Trogga. See my comments (and other's) at Talk:Interviews and Public Appearances. -- Tom 19:19, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I've posted my comment on this at Talk:Interviews and Public Appearances. I think the general rule is that "If it's on the site, it's acceptable here", meaning if H*R.com started to use a swear word, it would most likely have to be allowed here. That's how it is at the moment (I don't know what would happen if H*R.com did become less family friendly). RAINERtalk 09:13, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Ditto. So what if there are swears? I'm 12, and I know this is more family friendly than my school is. --Ookelaylay 02:17, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Uh... I'm clearly seeing the following at the bottom of this interview:

I'm hoping whoever put this here got permission first and just forgot to post on the discussion page about it. -- Tom 23:32, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Okay I'll go send an email to them now. EDSMILDE
In case anyone was wondering... here's what they sent me:
First, I wrote them an email asking if we could use the transcript on this page (I posted a link to this article). A few days later, Greg sent me:
I'll talk to Stephan since it's his interview you're interested in
then a few days later
Go ahead, thanks for asking!

On the uncensored version, should the warning be removed since there's already a warning about the transcript? EDSMILDE
