Pom Pom and the martial arts are a running gag that havn't got much attention. The first instance of pom pom fighting is in the theme song video in his dojo with the uniform and everything, this is broadened on later in the email pom pom where he gets a 1up beating Strongbad. In the commentary for the same email the brothers chaps discussed wanting to make a side scrolling pom pom fighting game. Later in the summer short shorts toon pom pom shows off his skills with a bo-staff.
