ANNOUNCER: the following is an extremely well paid for comercial advertisement {pronounced ad-ver-tis-ment} and NOT a really funny carton.
Fun Facts
Trivia
- This cartoon appears to be in 30 frames per second for the 3D cutscenes, instead of the usual 12. This makes the animation smoother, yet more awkward and faster than usual. The last frame rate "substitute" was in Teen Girl Squad Issue 12, when it was bumped up to 20 fps for a 3D effect.
Remarks
- The URL at the end of the ad, http://telltalegames.com/strongbad/, is not yet active.
Real-World References
- The Super FX Chip was used in games like Yoshi's island and Star Fox to provide sprite scaling and rotation.
- "N64" is an abbreviation of "Nintendo 64," Nintendo's first console capable of display 3D graphics using more methods.
- Mode 7 originated on the Wikipedia:Super NES video game console, on which it describes a simple texture mapping graphics mode that allows a background layer to be rotated and scaled, as if in 3D.
