Talk:long pants
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Not one of the best Strong Bad Emails I've seen. There are some good points, such as Strong Bad's electronic (and permanent) eraser pen, and the return of the almighty BMW lighter, but sadly it was Homestar's constant yelling of "LONG PANTS! LONG PANTS!" that started to show its' down parts. Good try, but not one of the best. 3/5 --82.37.217.206 09:08, 28 Mar 2005 (MST)
- I disagree, I thought this e-mail was hilarious and the "LONG PANTS!" part was great. I thought this was much better than best thing (though not as good as rock opera). --TheEggman
- Ditto. "Long long long long long long pants" was probably the funniest part, too, considering how Homestar just randomly shows up on the Lappy like he did. That and the edited e-mail was hilarious, too. Clown care... --Shadow Hog 22:39, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
Strong Bad's Eyes
I'm loathe to STUFF the Trivia item about Strong Bad's eyes narrowing, as it's obviously the very first time this happened (caught it after watching it the second time), but then, it's a weak Fun Fact. I think it should stay though. --TheEggman 14:45, 28 Mar 2005 (MST)
- I definately say keep it. Personally I find these observations quite interesting, illustrating the evolving complexity of the HR animation. On that note - correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this email the first time we see Strong Bad crossing his legs, and bending his right arm across them? --Lor 22:35, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
- I'd keep it myself, considering it is, AFAIK, true. --Shadow Hog 22:39, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
Hidden message in fortune cookies
As you hover over the fortune cookies, they break open and the fortunes move forward, unfolding. If you take a screenshot just before the fortune is completely spread out, you can see a secret message on the fortunes. It reads "You are not as good as most people." Here's the bitmap screenshot I grabbed: --68.165.246.205 20:52, 28 Mar 2005 (MST)
- Almost looks like it says "You are not as good as Matt, People" - Futuramaooy 21:36, 28 Mar 2005 (MST)
- I found that too (using Flash Decompiler) and was about to add it, but seeing as it's been addressed here, I'll just ask if anyone else thinks it's worth noting. I, for one, do. --Suicune64 20:19, 28 Mar 2005 (MST)
Dubious
It's not the first time his eyes narrow. They do in sbemail 74 when The Cheat comes from the other side of the screen. Only for a second though. also in morning routine, but he's kinda squinting from the bottom up...
"Kertified Klown Kare" a reference to Krusty?
This fun fact should be STUFFed. Use of "K"s as a substitute letter in commercial names is very very common, and was common long before Krusty the Klown. Think of "Kit Kat", "Kwik Kopy", "Kar Kare", etc. --208.0.20.2 16:33, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
- Then STUFF it. We aren't gonna stop you. --Shadow Hog 22:40, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
- Well, in this case, it's already STUFFed (now it is, anyway.) --Jay 22:42, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
- So much the better, then. --Shadow Hog 22:44, 29 Mar 2005 (MST)
Wassup!
I don't really know what to do with this, but I think it's kind of cool.
While trying to freeze the screen at the exact right time to get the fortune cookies to read "You are not as good as most people," (which is very hard to do), I caught this:
It looks like it says "Was Sup" on the right side, kind of. I don't know.
--VolatileChemical 16:55, 5 Apr 2005 (MDT)
- The word on the second line looks more like the beginning of "stupid" to me. -Gafaddict 05:01, 6 Apr 2005 (MDT)
Yeah, it does kind of look like "Was Stup" more than "Was Sup", but if you say "Was Stup" fast, it kind of sounds like "Wats Up". --VolatileChemical 15:05, 6 Apr 2005 (MDT)
Scroll Buttons and the Lappy....
Strong Bad really needs a new email rap. The Scroll buttons and the Lappy have been together for some time now, and this fact warrants no further reiteration. Rudeboy87 18:51, 6 Apr 2005 (MDT)
I wholeheartedly second this motion! Wait a second... What? You sure? Okay. Sorry. What I meant to say was "I wholeheartedly second this thing!" --VolatileChemical 15:38, 7 Apr 2005 (MDT)
