Normally stores will create an offer where you can get a special deal on something with the purchase of something "of equal or greater value". In the Homestar runner universe, however, strange variants have occurred occasionally.

• The King of Town Character Video — The King of Town says he earned his crown by getting a combo meal and "something of equal or lesser value"
• sbemail part-time job — Strong Bad advertises a "free cup of ice with the purchase of a deluxe cup of ice of equal or lesser value"
• Cool Things — Bubs tells Homestar that he can only exchange the shades for something of lesser or much lesser value
