Why are we mirroring an interview available here? Is this needed? Do we have permision from Kevin Scott to reproduce his work? This goes far beyond "fair use". - Dr Haggis - Talk 17:06, 1 May 2005 (UTC)

I've emailed Kevin, and here's the conversation...

Permission Conversation

The following are excerpts from an email conversation that took place between Kevin Scott and Thunderbird regarding permission to reprint the interview:

Hi Kevin. Yes, I was trying to get ahold of you. My name is Leith,
I am an administrator at a collective knowledge base website about
Homestar Runner that anyone can edit. Let me get right to the point. The interview
that you conducted with the creators of Homestarrunner.com a while back is
pretty much legendary around the website. Did they really allow you to leave
Marzipan a message on her machine? Anyways, the question I wanted to ask you
is wheather or not you would allow us to reprint the interview on our
website, namely here:

http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/UMFM_Interview_-_20_May_2003

Of course you would be given complete credit, along with a link to the
original interview and whatever websites you wished. Please let us know
whether or not this would be possible. Thank you,

-Leith
Hi Leith,

Ah yes, the HR Wiki. That site is an amazing HR resource. It's funny, I
stumbled across it a few months back and saw my name associated with
Marzipan's answering machine. Someone figured that "Kevin" message on her
machine was me, but I don't know how they jumped to that conclusion! It
definitely wasn't me, I have a distinguished Canadian accent. I edited the
page on Wiki to read the way it does now, just making the correction.

Of course you may reproduce the interview, absolutely. You can link my
email address too if you like (I already get as much spam as is humanly
possible, so more isn't going to hurt).

Kevin

Page Size

I admit this page is a bit... Unorthodox as far as length goes, but does it really need split? Let alone SEVEN TIMES?!?! The only part of this page that will changed from time to time will only be Fun Facts anyways. I think it can survive as one big, happy page. Anyone disagree? Thunderbird 01:59, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

This is THE longest page on this site. -- Joshua 02:17, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
Hmm... That's true. Okay, what about two parts then, if this is unacceptable to the coders? I just think seven is severe overkill. Thunderbird 02:37, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
