Good Boring or Bad Boring?

Oh my god, I can't believe I just watched that. How can I get back the four minutes of my life I lost? Why TBC WHY?

Intensely boring shark-jumping action!!! I liked those fireworks.

It was SUPPOSED to be boring. All the "interesting" characters were acting dull as heck, while the more "boring" characters are hyped up on caffeine or throwing wild parties. --Jay (Gobble) 02:01, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Space Ghost Homage?

I know this would be horribly shot down if I tried to put it in Fun Facts, but given that TBC likely watch Adult Swim, I can't help feeling that this email was a Space Ghost Coast to Coast homage. I don't think so, in Space Ghost it just has him walking around on his knees for ten minutes, here Strong Bad does stuff, but said stuff is pretty dull. The Pardack

Bubs' speech

He said "I remember learning math in school" .. I put my speaker at full volume .. It's math - EMJS

Since I changed the entry to say who the picture was for, I figured I'd put my justification here. The picture is addressed to "S²," and it seems reasonable to interpret S-squared as Strong Sad.--Big Dog 03:12, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Possible Inside Reference

Bub's "Be's" was last heard from Stong Bad in the bet ("Let's see you be's cool"). Was there any other occasion?

Wowowowhat?

I'm rather convinced that Strong Bad says "What?" at the same time that Homestar says "Wow," but this doesn't seem to be a universal view. Opinions? --Jay (Gobble) 06:00, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

They both say Wow. I'm 100% certain.

Not sure, myself. Listened again and I can't quite tell, but I'm leaning towards "Wow" simply because it doesn't make much sense for Strong Bad to say "What?" when he just finished talking with Bubs about that very subject. Crystallina 06:05, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It is kinda hard to discern, I'll admit. However, I can VERY clearly hear that SB's intonation rises (as though he's asking a question) as Homestar's falls. --Jay (Gobble) 06:13, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'm almost positive I hear "Wow" here instead of "What". Strong Bad has kind of a strange way of saying it, but it's one I hear very often in his voice (it's usually "Whoa" or "Ohh", however). His intonation rises, but falls at the very end. It doesn't sound like a question to me. Also, I don't hear a hard "t" sound, and I think that would be pretty noticeable after checking it a few times. The entire word doesn't seem to have any hard sounds. Lastly, check out his mouth; it starts out with a rounded "o" shape then opens up into its normal rectangle shape. I think "Wow" fits that far better than "What" does. Now that I see both sides of the argument though, it's hard to be sure. Some more opinions would be nice. - 71.113.43.208 09:36, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It is definitely definitely definitely not "what". SB's intonation rises as homestar's falls yes, but if you try to block out homestar's and listen JUST to SB's inotation, you'll notice it falls again after the rise, which is EXACTLY how someone says "woah" or "wow", with a rise then a fall. Can we please PLEASE not leave "what" there? It looks like no one but Jay is advocating it being what, so why is his opinion trumping everyone else's? It's so very obviously not what. maybe it's woah maybe it's wow, but for god's sake let it be changed! Either of those is better than what. Woah or Wow are both probably correct, they're essentially the same word, but it isn't what!

Nothing? No one cares that anyone who changes the "what" gets reverted despite, from what I see, no one else thinking that's what it is? sigh.

Sudden stop?

This toon stops most of the way through (when Strong Bad is listing three letter words and types "cod, for, her") for me, can anyone help? I've tried everything. Refresh, Hard Refresh, Cache clearing, saving the .SWF...can anyone help me? -User:Homestar Runnar

I see vs. Eye see

We need to reach a consensus. Does Homestar say, "More like... Eye see," or, "More like... I see"? I think the joke here is that he says I see because he can't close his eyes. --BazookaJoe 11:51, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I agree. It's the issue of Homestar seeing as opposed to Strong Bad, so there's emphasis on Homestar, and seeing as "I" represents Homestar, emphasis on "I" instead of "eye" makes sense. Suicune64 12:14, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

no, wrong! the joke is that Homestar is saying the word "eye". This may also be a reference to a previous halloween cartoon, where Homestar claims the noise that eyes make is "seeee... seee...." You see the character of Homestar says stupid things a lot. You should consult his character page for more information. It's eye, not I.

Footnote time. We don't want to look stupid. I'd say it's obviously "I", though. TBC don't go in for those kind of cheap puns...

I think we should leave it as is, by the way. The same thing was done in "for kids" with SB saying "I'LL KILL ALL OF YOUR DOGS/DOLLS!" and it looks fine.

Doing

Strong Bad saying "What are you...uh...doing" keeps getting inserted as an inside reference to car, but since it keeps getting reverted, it apparently is not. Easter Egg Goof?

I added this fun fact, which was later removed by tomstiff:

On the King Of Town easter egg, you see a free-floating hand holding a mug of beer or soda, that is not connected to any character on the screen.

The response was "it belongs to the blonde behind KOT".

To me, it looks like a goof. It doesn't appear that the hand is connected to an arm or any person. Even homestar, even though he's armless, doesn't have a hand when he's holding something. Not a big deal...just looked like a legit goof to me. What does anyone else think about this? --Duke33 16:47, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)
