Talk:Jack Hamma!
From Homestar Runner Wiki
I kinda think this page is a bit pointless. It's not very important, since it only appears in one toon, and that was just for like, 2 seconds. --Bubsty
I agree. Homestramy20|Talk 23:57, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
This is too thin to even be called a reference, but I have to remark it anyway. The name 'Jack Hamma' always brings to mind that guy who did those animal programmes, Jack Hanna. --DorianGray
- P.S. I don't think this page should be deleted. I don't know why, but I like it. It's a little longer than some one-shot items and characters.
True. Well, feel free 2 keep it. It just seemed kinda weird from my point of view. — talk Bubsty edits 18:41, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC) P.S: Like my new sig?
[edit] Nail File?
Can anyone cite a source indicating that nail files are the specific type of file sent to prison in cakes? Cause, if not, it should simply read "files". - Qermaq - (T/C) 22:20, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- A nail file is one of those things you use too trim your fingernails. It looks like this.
They'd use them to file through the bars in the windows. SaltyTalk! 22:21, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Let me explain. I know what a nail file is. I also know of numerous other types of small files used in working metal. Any of these would be a much more appropriate thing to use to break out of prison. What I'm asking is this - if we can say that specifically a nail file, or any other specific type of file, was what was routinely used for this, then we can list what kind of file. But if we can't, then it should just read "file" because there are a lot of other files far more likely to be useful and cake-a-bake-ical than a nail file. - Qermaq - (T/C) 22:32, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jack Hanna
I removed the Jack Hanna reference [1], because I can't see a connection between a jack hammer and a famous zoologist. As DorianGray said, "This is too thin to even be called a reference". Loafing 20:11, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- How? They sound the same. --Trogga 22:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- They sound similar, but not the same. And just sounding similar does not make it a reference. If he was known for using jack hammers, then it would be a reference. But this is just not a good enough connection. Loafing 22:29, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with loafing, and additionally if the toon in any way dealt with animals or the zoo, there'd be a likelier connection. But there's no sensible connection to Mr. Hanna other than the name is similar, and that's simply insufficient for a reference. - Qermaq - (T/C) 22:34, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
