The subtitle box looks pretty good so far, but I have a couple questions. Where on the front page were you thinking of putting this? It would make it most visible at the top of the page, but the yellow color and overall size would be too distracting. If it placed under Update and Featured Article boxes, the size of the "golden sub" might be a little too big. wbwolf (t | ed) 15:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- I really don't know. That's why it's a work in progress... Maybe it could be contracted into either of the "columns". It shouldn't be too high, because it'd just distract and annoy people that don't need it. Too low would mean that people might miss it. - Looking at the main page, it would seem the logical place would be between the nav bar at the top and the two columns. Perhaps, a single line version, with either no graphic or a smaller one? That way it'd be readily accessible and visible, but not take too much space on the page. Right now, the front page fills my screen at 1280 x 960, and I don't think it'd be wise to push that much further. It's been like 10 months since the creation of the international welcome pages, however, the visitor counts are pretty low. With most pages translated, maybe we should start promoting them on the main page. These boxes designed by Sysrq868 look just fine, I would prefer the yellowish single line version.
