Hello IRF. I was reading your userpage, and I noticed that you have apparently been around H*R for quite some time, perhaps one of the longest on the whole Wiki. Which got me thinking. Just how long have you been around, and how much do you remember about the pre-2002 era of H*R.com (the point where Live Journals runs dry as source info for [[H*R.com updates 2001]]). I look forward to hearing from you. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 01:12, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

:I can't remember when I discovered the wiki.  I was a big Homestar fan starting about the end of highschool, to my freshman year in college which was 1999 or 2000 (wow that was 3 computers ago!).  I don't remember when I discover the wiki but I know that I kicked around here for a LONG time before I actual got a username and starting contributing.  As to what was on the site at that time, your asking me to invade memories that have long been washing away by many long nights at O'Sullivan's Bar (Sully's we called it) in Norfolk.  I really don't remember.  I do remember when 'Search for the Yello Dello' came out.  Can you imagine a H*R world in which we didn't yet know that Coach Z couldn't say the word job?!?!

Just a heads up

Just so you know, the PlayStation ('95) came out a year before the Nintendo 64 ('96), not the other way around, and CERTAINLY not a four-year headstart. You sure you didn't mix it up with the SNES ('91)? Babbage's doesn't stock those anymore, either (much to my chagrin). --Shadow Hog 00:28, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sig

Hey Invisible Robot Fish. I moved your signature template to the correct location. — It's dot com 21:18, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

It's me again. I removed some parentheses in the links that were also causing problems. Did you copy those from somewhere? If so, we need to edit that article to make it less ambiguous. — It's dot com 22:10, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
I'm in the process of editing my sig, I'm not sure what your refering about the parentheses. Is that on a diff page? I am editing things in my sig and playing around with it for the first time. --22:31, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
I'm talking about this edit, where I took out the parentheses that were causing the links not to work. — It's dot com 22:37, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
Thank you. I think I am getting the hang of it now. -- I R F 22:47, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
I think it's looking good. Although, it is just a little bit long. Perhaps without the leading image? Just a thought. — It's dot com 23:01, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
How bout now? I R F 23:13, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
Still a bit too big, and the image is to tall, it takes up more than one line of text. Maybe shorten "contributions" or something? small_logo.pngUsername-talk 23:16, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
Ok now I am set. comments anyone? I R F 23:33, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
I thought the Pac-Man was cool. If you just reduced it a little. — It's dot com 23:33, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
I'm at work so I don't have the software with me to make a smaller pic I R F 23:35, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

STUFF revisions

Hey Invisible Robot Fish again. You can only vote to accept one of the revisions on this fact. You need to decide which one you like best. Thanks. — It's dot com 15:37, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, learning as I go. I R F 16:14, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Interesting

Hey Invisible Robot Fish again again. I like Christian rock music too; the old-school Muppets are awesome; aviation is fascinating; and my dream job would be to be an MLB umpire. For reals. — It's dot com 12:37, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

You know some of the bands I like. I fly a Cecsna Skylane 182 RG. Although I want to get eventually get instrument rated and multi-engine so that I can get a Piper Saratoga. I also want to get Raytheon King Air in the next 10 years.
I officiate at high school Varsity and now Collegiate Level. I am aspiring to be a D1 college umpire. I had dreams of being a major league ump once, but that was short lived as I was willing to pay the price of being in the minor for who knows how long just to maybe make it. Its a narrow door to get through. I R F 12:48, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Show Preview

I noticed you've been playing with your userpage to figure out how all of the markup code works here. It's certianly the right place to do it, and you are more than welcome to, but I have one request. Right below the edit box is a botton called Show Preview. You can click on it to show what the page will look like when you do save the changes, but it won't create an entry in Recent changes, which can get flooded rather quickly if you save every edit without a preview. It just makes things a lot easier for everybody. Thanks, small_logo.pngUsername-talk 12:41, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Will do. The page was loading differently in the Show Preview, but I'll use that more. I R F 12:50, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Do you hate me?

Invisible Robot Fish, many of your edit summaries concerning my edits are a real kick in butt. What's the deal? --Sam Goldfish 02:59, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

One thing I have realized while being here is that there are a few trump cards in this wiki. It's Dot Com, JoeyDay, and Tom are a few. There was a series of times within a 10 minute period where you continually reverted edit that had already been fixed. I can't say that I have never done that. But as noted on your talk page, this wasn't the first time that you had been told not engage in a reverting war. I am one of many people that patroll recent changes, and it seemed that all I was doing for 20 minutes was changing things back that you had done (most of which, were corrected by Its Dot Com). If memory serves me correct, you were deleting whole sections and images that didn't need to be deleted (except one, I will grant that one of your deletions was in fact a good one). So yes, at that time, I was frustrated and wanted you to stop changing pages that were just fine. Wiki pages undergo intense scrutiny to I think a laughable level. So if you see a fun fact from a toon that aired 2 months ago, chances are, its a good one. Grammar and spelling changes are always welcome, but give more thought before you delete whole fun facts that have been there for months. I R F 12:15, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

The Cheat's knife

That's not a fun fact candidate, so it doesn't belong on the STUFF page. I started a discussion here for you about the knife. — It's dot com 22:51, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Noted, I didn't know where else to put that. Thank you. I R F 23:15, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Images

Hi, Invisible Robot Fish. Just so you know, you can only have one personal image on your userpage. You have at least 4 by now: Image:Veggiepirates.jpeg, Image:Muppets.jpeg, Image:Ump.jpeg, and Image:Skylane.jpeg. You're going to have to choose one, and mark the others for deletion. Thanks. --DorianGray

grumble grumble. Gimme a minute to think. I R F
"We are the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. We just stay home and lie around! And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you: 'We don't do anything.'" I really like your pictures, and I really hope that ump was about to toss the Twins' manager. It's too bad that we can all each only have one on our pages. — It's dot com 17:06, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
No he didn't get tossed, I was looking for an ejection pic but I couldn't find a good one. I R F
I see you've chosen the VeggieTales pic. I'll take care of the others for you. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. — It's dot com 17:13, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
I was looking on the help pages and couldn't find instructions to delete an image. Where is that help info located? I R F 17:14, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
It's just like any other page. Just go to the edit tab and add {{delete|personal image}} to the unwanted images. --DorianGray

Question

Hey there you seem like a experiaentes user so can you give me step by step instructions on how to get thouse cool signatures? PLEASE!

Everything I learned, I got from the Help section on your right hand side. Follow the instructions under 'signature' **tip** when practicing, use your userpage and the show preview button. I R F 20:33, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
