Thy Dungeonman predates Cheat Commandos, this is the original use of Ripberger and must have come from the game Full Throttle. Ripberger became a cheat commando later. It should also be noted that Strong Bad's [[Floppy_Disk_Container]] has a few Lucas Arts games in it. David Bowie
The David Bowie fact is fine the way it is. Stop deleting information from it. First of all, it has gone through the STUFF process, but even if it hadn't, it shouldn't be changed. Here's why:
- The introductory sentence (with "look david bowie") is really more like an extension of the walkthrough. Just as in transcripts, it's better not to have links in this area.
- We have a long tradition of giving a sentence-or-two summary of the relevant parts of a Wikipedia article. You shouldn't have to click on the link to get a suitable explanation, especially when you would have to wade through quite a bit of information just to arrive at what we already have on our article page.
- The three subbullets address the important points in an ordered, concise, and clear manner, and then the last one ties in the subject matter to another H*R reference.

"The introductory sentence (with "look david bowie") is really more like an extension of the walkthrough. Just as in transcripts, it's better not to have links in this area."
- A lot of facts have links in dialogue. Heck, the virus transcript links to the "quadratic formula". --TROGGA! 18:50, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, you're right. In certain cases a link in the transcript is appropriate. But notice I said it's better to have links separate from the transcript, which is our standard procedure. There is an even more compelling reason, however: "look david bowie" is all lowercase (capitalizing the name generates an error), but "David Bowie," a proper noun, should be capitalized in the link. — It's dot com 19:26, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)

- Then what's the point of Wikipedia links? --TROGGA! 18:50, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- A fun fact should give just enough information that the user could be satisfied with it alone. It's like the featured article on the Main Page. It's long enough to give relevant facts, but not nearly as long as the real article. In this case, a user shouldn't have to read the whole David Bowie article, searching for the words Tin Machine and Ziggy Stardust, just to find out what we could tell him or her in a couple of sentences apiece. On the other hand, if the user wants more in-depth info, the link is right there for them to keep reading. We're trying to make it easier on everyone, not harder. — It's dot com 19:26, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
"The three subbullets address the important points in an ordered, concise, and clear manner, and then the last one ties in the subject matter to another H*R reference."
- Umm, I don't think Strong Sad as Bowie/Ziggy Stardust in Halloween Fairstival is a reference to TDM2. --TROGGA! 18:50, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I didn't say it was. I said that the two independent references are tied together by a common theme. — It's dot com 19:26, 23 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Closed STUFF
504 Characters of DoomDavid Bowie is a famous English rock artist whose career has spanned from the '60s to the present. Tin Machine was a four-piece rock band he formed from 1989 to 1992. Ziggy Stardust was an androgynous character David Bowie invented and performed as for his classic 1972 album, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Thy Dungeonman rejects the "Tin Machine era" when David Bowie dressed in suits with a mustache and beard and prefers the Ziggy Stardust persona, who wore wild, Japan-influenced outfits and the wild red hair which Strong Sad wears in Halloween Fairstival.
