The popularity of characters is often made fun of by the Brothers Chaps, whether the popularity (or lack thereof) to fans or to other characters.
(I need ideas for this stuff up here.)

- First Time Here? - Strong Bad addresses the viewers and says he's "the reason you're here".
- Strumstar Hammer - The revised book makes fun of the Original Book, and further describes Homestar's lack of popularity in Strong Bad's eyes.
- Strongest Man in the World - The Announcer quickly announces Strong Bad, Homestar Runner, and Pom Pom, and doesn't give them as fancy an introduction as the other contestants.
