A few of the characters, as well as their equivalents (1936, 20X6, etc) do not have legible speech, or never talk at all, but we are still able to understand what they mean, either roughly through their actions and facial expressions, through other characters reactions or translations, or through subtitles. All of the other characters are able to understand them, though. However, it is unknown how they are able to understand them.
Examples
- The Cheat- Only speaks in squeaks. In cheatspeak, after failing to get The Cheat to say something normal like "Douglas", he suggests we have to learn how to "speak The Cheat". In an Easter egg in that email, you listen to a recording of "how to speak The Cheat". His 1936 version, The Sneak, speaks only by wiggling his nose.
