+ | Hi Angela. Actually, the bot isn't really "welcoming" you all that much, I think. It's just providing some starting points for a new user. And by the way, welcome back to you! {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 21:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC) |

The Troll's talk page
User:First Time Here? is not a real user. It is a bot that is set up to automatically welcome new users. — Defender1031*Talk 17:35, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- I guess that's why it's better to have real humans welcome people instead of bots doing it. :) Angela 17:43, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- We do. This system just gives them some links to help acquaint them with the wiki, real people can then see their edits and style and offer them a much warmer, personal greeting. Notice that this user did not receive one. — Defender1031*Talk 17:45, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Regardless, we would have had a real user welcome this vandal anyway. Then we would have had to delete it as well, so that makes no difference. —BazookaJoe 17:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
