Prior to [[Marshmallow~~'s ~~Last Stand~~]], according to it's [[Marshmallow's Last Stand#Commentary Transcript\|commentary]], Homestar was unaware this star was removable and assumed that if it was removed, you could see his "portions." Ever since, we have only seen his star removed one other time, in [[different town]]. This tearing off of the star by Homestar seems to mark the star as his trademark. Homestar seems to wear the star as a mark of pride. In the commentary for [[flashback]], it was revealed that this star was originally to be on a shirt belonging to [[Strong Bad]], but Strong Bad tore it apart after [[Marzipan]] got Homestar a similar shirt.	+
