:: I'm going to go ahead and change the redirect to Instruments for the same reason that lowercase "money" redirects to Free Country, USA#Economics instead of Dancin' Bubs. I should have realized this point 9 years ago when I first started this thread. --Plastiware 00:20, 27 January 2023 (UTC) | :: I'm going to go ahead and change the redirect to Instruments for the same reason that lowercase "money" redirects to Free Country, USA#Economics instead of Dancin' Bubs. ::: We don't currently have a page called "money" (lowercase). Perhaps one should be created that is a filename redirect. On the other hand if this filename redirect has outlived its purpose then it should be deleted, not changed. — It's dot com 00:28, 27 January 2023 (UTC) | ::: We don't currently have a page called "money" (lowercase). + | :::: Do we have a place on this wiki that explains the technical need for a file redirect? If memory serves, it was used for subtitles? But I think there were other uses. That way we can evaluate the need for filename redirects as a whole. As for this particular redirect (and for money), adding disambiguation links at the top (for example to point to Banjo) would help prevent confusion. This would probably be something good to document for future reference. --Stux 12:23, 27 January 2023 (UTC) |

So I tried to make this edit myself, but it was reverted pretty quickly. I feel like it would be more appropriate if this redirected to Instruments#Old Timey since it's actually about an appearance of a banjo. The Dancin' Bubs redirect on the other hand seems pretty flimsy, since there's neither an appearance nor sound of a banjo in Dancin' Bubs, just a leftover filename from before the music was changed. --Plastiware 20:56, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
- Capital-B Banjo links where you want. This must link to Dancin' Bubs because of the filename. --Jay (Gobble) 21:18, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
- PS. It's because of the Greasemonkey script. --Jay (Gobble) 21:21, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
