| + | It is actually ISO conform to tag documents as "pt-br", just as we use "en-us" for the English versions for the subtitles. Now, it would be much better for the wiki if we could tag those subtitles as "pt", because then we would have covered all Portuguese speaking countries. The question is how different Portuguese Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese actually are. Would someone in Portugal understand your subtitles? (And so you see why it's a good idea not to delete discussions on talk pages ;-) ) | ||

Portuguese
Hi, just want to explain something that's a little complicated. First, thanks for starting on Portuguese subtitles! However, we go by the ISO standard codes and as such there is no special code for the Brazilian dialect of Portuguese. "br" is reserved for the language Breton. So we've moved stuff to fix it, but in the future please use "pt" for Portuguese subtitles. And again, thanks for your contributions! - Qermaq - (T/C)
