Simply the shovel The Poopsmith uses to scoop up poop. This seems to be the only shovel in Free Country, USA. He never appears to transfer poop between his gloves and the shovel, yet his gloves are always dirty.
The Poopsmith is sometimes seen poking his shovel as a half-gesture; in his apparent 1936 incarnation as The Devil, the pitchfork motion is very similar.
