Strong Bad has occassionally shown affection towards the hard rock band KISS.

Email Garage Sale: Strong Bad calls the e-mail sender "Catman". That was Peter Criss' stage name of Peter Criss due to the fact his makeup looked like a cat.

KISS' original lineup was [[wikipedia:Paul Stanley|Paul Stanley]] on rythem guitar and lead vocals, [[wikipedia:Gene Simmons|Gene Simmons]] on bass and lead vocals, [[wikipedia:Ace Frehely|Ace Frehely]] on lead guitar and vocals and [[wikipedia:Peter Criss|Peter Criss]] on drums and vocals. In 1980, Criss left KISS for a solo career and was replaced by [[wikipedia:Eric Carr|Eric Carr]] who was then replaced by [[wikipedia:Eric Singer|Eric Singer]] in 1991 due to the fact Carr had died of Cancer at age 41. In 1983, Frehely left KISS for his own career and band, Frehely's Comet. He was replaced by Vinnie Vincent, who was fired and replaced by Mark St. John in '84, who had to quit because he had developed arteritis in his hands. Bruce Kulick then replaced him and left after the original lineup had reunited. Bruce was then replaced by Tommy Thayer. KISS had a string of hits in the 70's through the 90's. KISS has been refenced to a few times in the Homestar Runner Universe.
