Just a Warning

I just wanted to tell you to not procrastinate on your Eagle rank if you can help it. In a few years your life will more than likely be a lot busier than it is now, making all the work you need to do much more difficult than it already is. Trust me, I know from experience. I earned Life when I was your age and put off a lot of things until last month (one month before my 18th birthday), which made it much more stressful. All that said, congratulations on making it to where you are now, and I wish you good luck in finishing what you have left to do. Username-talk 03:32, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)

It's really great to know that there's an experienced scouter around here. I actually stopped procrastinating this summer, and started getting down to business. I have three merit badges to receive remaining; personal fitness, citizenship in the community, and citizenship in the world. They aren't so bad, so I'm not incredibly worried. Let me know if you have any good ideas on an Eagle scout project, Some HSR themed username. And thanks so much for your concern. — Lapper (talk) 6:23, 22 Sep 2005 (CST)

Yeah, those last few should be easy to finish up, but don't put them off because of that just to be safe. As far as a project goes, I'm not sure where you live exactly in Missouri but there were a variety of trails in my town that needed work, and that's what I ended up doing. If you can't or don't want to do that, I'm sure you could talk to local organization heads or town/city government officials for ideas as well. Hope that helps. I'm really not that outdoorsy for a scout. Ironic, eh? I actually have an idea for a fundraiser or book drive, and I'm also doing the Troop's website on the side.
