1933 is the date of the earliest "The Homestar Runner" cartoons. These toons did not have sound and we much more cartoony than the later Old-Timey cartoons, with heads coming off, body-parts changing and characters flying away, amoung other things.
The "Black and White" era of Homestar is collectively referred to as Old-Timey.
