Dec 28 12:56:11 Elcool ok, never mind Dec 28 12:56:15 Tom39|laptop Elcool: Good question. Dec 28 12:56:46 Elcool thanks, but i figured it out Dec 28 12:57:15 Tom39|laptop Elcool: Could you explain it to me? Dec 28 12:57:38 Elcool it's for redirecting where you can't redirect Dec 28 12:57:52 Elcool http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/very_low_sodium Dec 28 12:57:55 Elcool like so Dec 28 12:57:55 Tom39|laptop http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Quarterback Dec 28 12:58:06 Tom39|laptop Yeah, but that's a limitation of the software. Dec 28 12:58:20 Tom39|laptop And it should just redirect to the page for now. Dec 28 12:58:22 Elcool so that's a way around it Dec 28 12:58:27 Tom39|laptop Eventually they'll fix that. Dec 28 12:58:47 Tom39|laptop Yeah, for now we should #REDIRECT [[Minor Teen Girl Squad Characters#Quarterback]] Dec 28 12:58:59 Tom39|laptop It will just redirect to the top of Minor Teen Girl Squad Characters Dec 28 12:59:02 Dot_com # doesn't work in redirects Dec 28 12:59:06 Tom39|laptop Which isn't ideal, I know. Dec 28 12:59:07 JoeyDay|wgu Will the redirect not send you to the anchor? Dec 28 12:59:16 Dot_com JoeyDay|wgu: no Dec 28 12:59:18 Tom39|laptop No, it never has sent to the anchor. Dec 28 12:59:21 JoeyDay|wgu :( Dec 28 12:59:27 Dot_com they should fix that Dec 28 12:59:31 Tom39|laptop Indeed. Dec 28 12:59:42 Dot_com "they" Dec 28 12:59:53 Elcool so that's what the soft one for Dec 28 13:00:20 Tom39|laptop Well, that's the reasoning behind the soft one. But it doesn't function correctly either. Dec 28 13:00:21 Rogue_Leader what are soft redirects? Dec 28 13:00:27 JoeyDay|wgu Yeah, most of these links to HRWiki:User_page are in welcome messages. Dec 28 13:00:32 Tom39|laptop The soft redirect isn't redirecting. Dec 28 13:00:35 Tom39|laptop It's making me click. Dec 28 13:00:40 Rogue_Leader I also Dec 28 13:00:42 Tom39|laptop That's worse. Dec 28 13:00:47 Rogue_Leader definately Dec 28 13:01:56 Tom39|laptop Now someone just needs to explain this on a talk page.

New Image idea
- A cute idea:
<Kookykman> http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Template_talk:soft_redirect <Kookykman> Scroll down to Qermaq's message. <Bluebry> I saw. <Kookykman> I like it. ;) <Bluebry> Pretty cool
Taken from #hrwiki. I personally like it. Bluebry 16:09, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- I too also like it, as well, also. SaltyTalk! 17:57, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ack! The puns! They burn! Besides that, it looks good, although it's a little short for my liking. - Super Sam 18:31, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please note that this template is not and will not be used in articles. I'd delete it right now, but then this explanation wouldn't be here. I just went through and subst-ed all the templates to prepare for the pending deletion. -- Tom 06:23, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Why delete? It is used instead of a direct redirect to lead one off our namespace. That's a good idea. - Qermaq - (T/C) 06:44, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- If one wants to link to another website, they can use the external link format. If they'd like to customize that format for use on a user page, they can do so on an individual basis. -- Tom 07:21, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
