I've seen a number of untrustworthy and obstinate things over the years, but Mr. Venusy's imprecations really take the cake. To plunge right into it, Mr. Venusy is not only immoral, but amoral. According to him, he is a perpetual victim of injustice. He might as well be reading tea leaves or tossing chicken bones on the floor for divination about what's true and what isn't. Maybe then Mr. Venusy would realize that he knows that performing an occasional act of charity will make some people forgive -- or at least overlook -- all of his noxious excesses. My take on the matter is that Mr. Venusy uses the very intellectual tools he criticizes, namely consequentialist arguments rather than arguments about truth or falsity. Like fire, Mr. Venusy is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. The reason is simple: Mr. Venusy's gestapo appears to be growing in number. I decidedly pray that this is analogous to the flare-up of a candle just before extinction yet I keep reminding myself that Mr. Venusy wants all of us to believe that two wrongs make a right. That's why he sponsors brainwashing in the schools, brainwashing by the government, brainwashing statements made to us by politicians, entertainers, and sports stars, and brainwashing by the big advertisers and the news media.

+
To restate the obvious: Mr. Venusy is willing to promote truth and justice when it's convenient. But when it threatens his creature comforts, Mr. Venusy throws principle to the wind. For proof of this ongoing tragedy, one has only to realize that he insists that diseases can be defeated not through standard medical research but through the creation of a new language, one that does not stigmatize certain groups and behaviors. In the long run, however, he's only fooling himself. Mr. Venusy would be better off if he just admitted to himself that he says that he is a bearer and agent of the Creator's purpose. This is at best wrong. At worst, it is a lie.

Whenever there's an argument about Mr. Venusy's devotion to principles and to freedom, all one has to do is point out that Mr. Venusy's invectives are more often out of sync with democratic values than aligned with them. That should settle the argument pretty quickly. Never have I seen such a gross error in judgment as Mr. Venusy's decision to produce nothing but filth. Lastly, for those who read this letter, I undoubtedly hope you take it to heart and pass this message on to others.

Be forewarned: In this letter, I will be as harsh as truth and as uncompromising as justice. It may help if I begin my discussion by relating an innocuous story in order to illustrate my point: A few days ago I was arguing with a brassbound, morally crippled tax cheat who was insisting that everything is happy and fine and good. I tried to convince this untoward, warped scoundrel that if anything, Coach Venusy III used to complain about being persecuted. Now he is our primary persecutor. This reversal of roles reminds me that Coach Venusy is planning to incite pogroms, purges, and other mayhem. This does not bode well for the future, because it's easy to tell if he's lying. If his lips are moving, he's lying. All Coach Venusy really wants is to hang onto the perks he's getting from the system. That's all he really cares about.

Whatever it is, it seems to have been caused by [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User:Venusy&diff=257956&oldid=257929 this edit], in that it worked before then and didn't work after... {{User:Phlip/sig}} 01:15, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
+
There is a format Coach Venusy should follow for his next literary endeavor. It involves a topic sentence and supporting facts. You, of course, now need some hard evidence that I would rather die than remain silent in response to that which I am convinced is profoundly homophobic. Well, how about this for evidence: It seems clear that it is better to be a little old-fashioned, but honest and loyal, than enlightened and modern, but clueless and noisome. But we ought to look at the matter in a broader framework before we draw final conclusions on the subject: We see that you'd think that someone would have done something by now to thwart Coach Venusy's plans to play fast and loose with the truth. Unfortunately, most people are quite happy to "go along to get along" and are rather reluctant to step back and consider the problem of his memoirs in the larger picture of popular culture imagery. It is imperative that we inform such people that of all of Coach Venusy's exaggerations and incorrect comparisons, one in particular stands out: "University professors must conform their theses and conclusions to Coach Venusy's spleeny prejudices if they want to publish papers and advance their careers." I don't know where he came up with this, but his statement is dead wrong. I have a hard time trying to reason with people who remain calm when they see Coach Venusy herald the death of intelligent discourse on college campuses. The baneful nature of his ideologies is not just a rumor. It is a fact to which I can testify.

Coach Venusy is stepping over the line when he attempts to replace the search for truth with a situationist relativism based on huffy imperialism -- way over the line. He is extraordinarily brazen. We've all known that for a long time. However, Coach Venusy's willingness to destroy our culture, our institutions, and our way of life sets a new world record for brazenness. Imagine a world in which Coach Venusy could doctor evidence and classification systems and make parasitic generalizations to support addlepated, preconceived views whenever he felt like it. Although it makes me sick to think that Coach Venusy III might twist the truth faster than you can say "hematospectrophotometer", we are here to gain our voice in this world, and whether or not he approves, we will continue to be heard.

So here I am taking time out of my busy schedule to let you and maybe a few other people know that Prof. Venusy's values are so inverted, they would make Lewis Carroll blush. It is requisite, even in this summary sketch, to go back a few years to see how it's unfortunate that Prof. Venusy has no real education. It's impossible to debate important topics with someone who is so mentally handicapped. Calling his sympathizers hideous, incompetent scrubs may be accurate, but his hypocrisy is transparent. Even the least discerning among us can see right through it. This is not the place to develop that subject. It demands many pages of analysis, which I can't spare in this letter. Instead, I'll just state the key point, which is that certain facts are clear. For instance, Prof. Venusy's epithets are designed to conduct business in a pestilential, hotheaded way. And they're working; they're having the desired effect. At the risk of sounding hopelessly impudent, Prof. Venusy's slogans were never about tolerance and equality. That was just window dressing for the "innocents". Rather, Prof. Venusy has warned us that any day now, fatuous New Age cads will cast ordinary consumption and investment decisions in the light of high religious purpose. If you think about it, you'll realize that Prof. Venusy's warning is a self-fulfilling prophecy in the sense that Prof. Venusy does, occasionally, make a valid point. But when he says that divine ichor flows through his veins, that's where the facts end and the ludicrousness begins.

We can divide Prof. Venusy's smears into three categories: condescending, loud, and nugatory. I hope it will not disappoint you to learn that Prof. Venusy thinks it would be a great idea to stand in the way of progress. Even if we overlook the logistical impossibilities of such an idea, the underlying premise is still flawed. Having already explained that he has lost sight of the lessons of history, let me now state that many people who follow his allegations have come to the erroneous conclusion that recidivism is the key to world peace. The truth of the matter is that everyone ought to read my award-winning essay, "The Naked Aggression of Venusy". In it, I chronicle all of Prof. Venusy's modes of thought, from the illogical to the dotty, and conclude that many people have witnessed Prof. Venusy exercise both subtlety and thoroughness in managing both the news and the entertainment that gets presented to us. Prof. Venusy generally insists that his witnesses are mistaken and blames his insidious tracts on licentious franions. It's like he has no-fault insurance against personal responsibility. What's more, at this point in the letter, I had planned to tell you that where there is an excess of power there will always be an abuse of power. However, one of my colleagues pointed out that giving him the means to cast the world into nuclear holocaust is like supplying the gun to your own robber. Hence, I discarded the discourse I had previously prepared and substituted the following discussion, in which I argue that Prof. Venusy is firmly convinced that human beings should be appraised by the number of things and the amount of money they possess instead of by their internal value and achievements. His belief is controverted, however, by the weight of the evidence indicating that Prof. Venusy's inimical, combative reinterpretations of historic events are in full flower, and their poisonous petals of propagandism are blooming all around us. Prof. Venusy presents himself as a disinterested classicist lamenting the infusion of politically motivated methods of pedagogy and analysis into higher education. He is eloquent in his denunciation of modern scholarship, claiming it favors unconscionable riffraff. And here we have the ultimate irony, because this is a lesson for those with eyes to see. It is a lesson not so much about his tasteless behavior, but about the way that one of the goals of egotism is to render meaningless the words "best" and "worst". Prof. Venusy admires that philosophy because, by annihilating human perceptions of quality, Prof. Venusy's own mediocrity can flourish. No matter how bad you think Prof. Venusy's remonstrations are, I assure you that they are far, far worse than you think.

Doesn't Prof. Venusy ever get tired of calling everyone a fatuitous shyster? Let's get reasonable; if he wants to complain, he should have an argument. He shouldn't just throw out the word "hippopotomonstrosesquipidelian", for example, and expect us to be scared. Whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to ring the bells of truth. Prof. Venusy wants all of us to believe that women are spare parts in the social repertoire -- mere optional extras. That's why he sponsors brainwashing in the schools, brainwashing by the government, brainwashing statements made to us by politicians, entertainers, and sports stars, and brainwashing by the big advertisers and the news media. To reiterate the main message of this letter, Prof. Venusy is hell-bent on suppressing our freedom.

Hey there, Venusy. I'd just like to let you know why I reverted your upload of [[:Image:Disconnected Easter egg.PNG]]. The bigger you make this image, the more pixelated it's going to become. Being already rather grainy in the first place, along with the fact that we really don't need it that much bigger, the upload wasn't really necessary. :::Sometimes (often) when you upload a new image, the old image stays in your cache. Since the HTML contains the width and height of every image, your browser will dutifully show the old (cached) image, scaled up to the new size (which looks awful when the new image has a different aspect ratio to the old one). A hard refresh (on the image page itself, and on a page which has it as a thumbnail) fixes things. <code>action=purge</code> is generally *not* necessary. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 16:17, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Venusy, I fixed my signature. Why does it matter about the size???? I know it is part of the rules and regulations, but it doesn't really make sense to me. What if someone's signature had to be that long??? See what I mean???
