Welcome!

Hey there Orange Star! Welcome aboard the USS Homestar Runner dot Wiki! Hope you enjoy getting plugged into the community here. We're always looking for help with all kinds of stuff, so I suggest you check out The Stick or our list of projects. If you get stuck or need help with something, you can ask me on my talk page, or we have a list of Help pages at Help:Contents. Welcome again, and happy editing! — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 19:50, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Well hi! check out who i Was on my user page! --Orange Star 19:53, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Great! This is the kind of enthusiasm I like to see around here! (You would be surprised how many users register, make an edit or two, then disappear forever...) At any rate, I noticed you made a signature page. Lookin' rrll rrll good, but you might want to check out Help:Signature to set it up for easy use, and bring it in line with one signature rule in particular, that images in sigs can be no taller than 20 pixels. Aside from that, you're already shaping up to be a good contributor. High-five! — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 20:04, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi there Orange Star, and welcome to the wiki! I replied to your question here. Let me know if you have any other questions! Trey56 20:49, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Signature

Hey, Orange Star... just wanted to let you know, we have a few rules about how your signature should look... one of them is that it should fit in this box:

As you can see, the images are a bit too tall (if you change their width to 15px in the sig code, they'll fit) and you need to trim down the words a bit. Keep on keepin' on, --phlip TC 03:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Thats what I TRIED to do but somebody reverted it << Numa Numa!! (T*C)

You were breaking rules, Philip was right. Anyway, I suggest that Orange Star remove the image that is making your sig too big, although you can just resize it. It is pretty bad looking anyway.--~ SlipStream 03:57, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Still no. Numa Numa!! (T*C)

Try taking away the image. DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra 16:06, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

I'll compare yours to Mee.

Needs to be that long. Numa Numa!! (T*C)

he said it needs to fit in the box, and it fits in the box Orange Star - T - C

It most certainly does not. — Defender1031*Talk 20:47, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

oh, ur talkin about the pic! (fixed)Orange Star - T - C

Still notm the final parenthesis is still outside the box. Mee's fits exactly, as long as yours is as short as his, you're fine. — Defender1031*Talk 20:53, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

there, i got rid of the 'tribs Orange Star - T - C

In my opinion, i think it looks better with the tribs and without the image... — Defender1031*Talk 21:00, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

All right, tell me what u like better

Personal Images

Hello Orange Star, I see you have three personal images (Image:T.jpg, Image:C.jpg, and Image:OS.jpg.) Our personal image policy only allows to personal images. If you want to keep them, consider uploading them to imageshack and mark at least one for deletion with a {{delete}} tag. Thanks,

MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 15:32, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

That's totally OK! I can delete the C. I am still trying to find out how to link pix to in-site links. k? THX for lettin me know! Orange Star - T - C
No problem. And by the way, if you want the timestamp and your sig, just type 4 tidles (~~~~) But be sure to change your sig in your preferences. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 15:41, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
I knew the 4 Tildes part, but you would rather like me changing my sig in my Preferences? Thanks for keeping me in the Know!Orange Star - T - C 15:57, 14 December 2008 (UTC) (EDIT) wait, this just changes the place where the sig is kept. so do i change my sig in User:Orange_Star/sig or preferences?
As the default setting, it has your sig as Orange Star. You want to change the location of the sig to {{User:Orange Star/sig}}. Yes, at Special:Preferences, by the way. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 17:42, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
No, see, I did that when I first created my user. I just need help making the sig, which below, sombody is already helping me. Thanks anyway. Orange Star - T - C 19:35, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Signature

I've noticed you've been having a little trouble working on your signature. If you want your signature to have your T and C images, you could always make it one image and use <imagemap> to tell what coordinates link to what. You could also just use the span-tag like so:

<span style="background-color:#000000;color:#FF0000;font-family:sans-serif;padding:0px 2px 0px 2px;font-weight:bold;font-size:8pt;">[[User talk:Orange Star|<span style="color:red;">T</span>]] [[Special:Contributions/Orange Star|<span style="color:red;">C</span>]]</span>

To generate:

T C

I hope this helps solves your problem. Also, our policy only allows you one small image (if any) in your signature, so this can be your alternative to having to use an image. — 75.5.176.233 (Talk | contribs) 18:22, 14 December 2008 (left unsigned)

oh yeah i forgot about that. Thanks! Orange Star - T - C 19:37, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
One thing that nobody's mentioned is that your signature needs to have a text link that reads "Orange Star" (or at least suggests it). "OSTC" does not suggest Orange Star. — It's dot com 20:34, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
