Anime is the term for East Asian cartoons, primarily those made in Japan. Anime has made several appearances in the Homestar Runner Universe.
Appearances
- Email japanese cartoon — Strong Bad's "Stinkoman" character is designed to resemble old fashioned anime cartoons. This trend continues throughout all other 20X6 toons.
- TrogdorCon '97 — Strong Sad mentions he was going to buy some "anime", which Strong Bad refers to as the outdated name "japanimation".
- On a related note, Homestar Runner plans to buy manga (which he mispronounces), a type of comic book which inspires many pieces of anime.
- 4 gregs — Japanese Culture Greg's face turns anime everytime he says a japanese word.
