Ding! Crazy Go Nuts University is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Massive amounts of credit to whoever did this page. A massive improvement on the old page in every way, especially the table featuring the facts about CGNU. --TheNintenGenius 22:23, 16 Sep 2004 (MST)

I second that. --FireBird|Talk

I third that! No, really, I do. --Homsar999 0:20, 13 Nov 2004 (CST)

Googlebomb!

Woah, CGNU Googlebomb. I'm not even kidding. Search for 'Crazy Go Nuts University' or even 'Crazy Go Nuts'( http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Crazy+Go+Nuts+University&btnG=Google+Search link if you're lazy), and top item is "Queen's University" in Kingston, Ontario( http://queensu.ca/ ). I think someone doesn't like them...yay googlebombs.

Wasn't sure if mention of this fact deserved mentioning in the article, and if so, how to put it in(didn't seem to fit in any existing sections, and wasn't sure what to add if it goes in). Not used to this wiki stuff myself. Only things I've done on wikipedia thus far were minor grammer/spelling edits.

So I discussioned it so someone that knows more than me can decide what to do! Take that, rar.

I don't think this is significant enough to get a place in the article. --Upsilon
Googlebombs are always fun, but like Upsilon said, I don't think this has a place here. Interesting though.
The Googlebombing was unintentional, but it's my fault. I actually had a very good time during my seven undergrad years at Queen's University, whose Engineering school had a "Go Nuts Event" during Frosh Week and whose unofficial Engineering chant was "Go F***in' Nuts!". Referring to Queen's only as "Crazy Go Nuts University" is a tribute to Queen's and Homestar Runner, both of which I hold in high regard. -- Joey deVilla, The Adventures of Accordion Guy in the 21st Century (http://accordionguy.blogware.com/).
Actually, now the first article is Tandy 400!!! --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 03:33, 7 August 2006 (UTC):
Now it's this page (the article, not the talk page), but I have a question for the accordion guy: I don't understand how Googlebombs work even though I've tried looking it up, so I wanted to ask you how you accidentally Googlebombed it. I apologize if it sounds like I'm doubting the "accidentally" part, as that's not my intention; I'm just curious. -Unknownwarrior33 15:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Sightings

Chris Myers just described a NASCAR wreck as "crazy go nuts" about ten minutes ago as I write this. We need a "sightings" page to archive whenever we notice this stuff outside HR-related content.

1. There is a Sightings page.
2. Sorry, but I really doubt that that's an H*R ref. Aurora the Homestar Coder 21:15, 1 May 2005 (UTC)

Part of Sbdia?

I don't think so. I don't even know if it's in the remote location of Strong Badia.--Gir007 20:59, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

CGNU Debut?

Do we know where/when CGNU debuted? It doesn't seem clear from the page. Best. Anagrammarian 21:32, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

My best guess is CGNU, but I dunno for sure. --DorianGray
Yeah, so that would mean the e-mailer's reference comes out of nowhere? Maybe that's all there is to the story, but it seems like something there might be something more.... Anagrammarian 08:06, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
I always found it odd that that reference just showed up there and had not been mentioned before. Perhaps it happened at a live appearance?— Bassbone (TALK Strong Mad Has a Posse CONT) 08:13, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Homestar Quiz - Behind SB is a piece of paper that reads "strong bad's diploma from crazy go nuts university"... which is probably what the sender of CGNU was referring to. Assuming the Quiz came out first, the quiz page doesn't say when it came out. --phlip TC 08:54, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Aaaah, good find. Judging from Strong Bad's appearance, it does seem earlier than the email. An astute catch by an early viewer. Perhaps they are contributing to the wiki now?— Bassbone (TALK Strong Mad Has a Posse CONT) 09:11, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Is the difference in Strong Bad's animation strong enough evidence to add Debut: before the HSQuiz in the article? Or maybe Debut(?):.... (Does HRWiki do those?) Or maybe I'm being to nitpicky to want that. ^_^ Thoughts? Anagrammarian 09:32, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Suggestion for the table

Hey, I have a suggestion for the table: since the web address is listed as a link anyway, why don't we change it to link to cgnuonline-eniversity.com (but keep the text as the .edu site)? -Unknownwarrior33 16:03, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
