On March 14, 2005, The Brothers Chaps appeared at the "South By Southwest" festival in Austin, Texas. They showed many things including footage of Puppet Homestar Runner touring the Austin area filmed earlier that same day. At this presentation, viewers were shown similiar material to that seen at the NYU Talk which occured two weeks prior.

WOMAN:Okay, so we're here, at South by SouthWest and we're about to see the Homestar Runner panel.
(cut to MATT and MIKE CHAPMAN at desk with HOMESTAR puppet)
MATT CHAPMAN: Um...We're the guys who make homestarrunner.com
MIKE CHAPMAN: My name's Mike Chapman
{Roaring applause from the crowd}
{Matt is holding a puppet version of Homestar}
MATT CHAPMAN: {voice of Homestar} Um, Mike? Are you ready to roll yet?
MIKE CHAPMAN: I'm afraid not, my friend.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Boooo
MIKE CHAPMAN: There's too many files on this computer.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Too many files. you need to defrag. Cut to HOMESTAR puppet with MIKE
(Audience Laughter)
MIKE:Pretty amazing, this Texas...(HOMESTAR opening and closing mouth, audience laughter)
HOMESTAR RUNNER:Um...I don't see much, MIKE. Where's the By West?
Audience laughter
HOMESTAR RUNNER:The Bi West Show. That's what I'm in town for.
MIKE:South by SouthWest?
HOMESTAR RUNNER:i don't know. It's called Bi West. I-I wanna see some cool bands.
MIKE:You're not gonna see any cool bands.
HOMESTAR RUNNER:No...
MIKE:You're not.
HOMESTAR RUNNER:Why not??
MIKE:Well...
HOMESTAR RUNNER:Did you forget to get tickets??
MIKE:We did forget to get tickets.
HOMESTAR RUNNER:(Strange gasping sound)Oh well. Bye West.
Cut to woman watching show
Cut to HOMESTAR RUNNER on top of a building overlooking a city
HOMESTAR RUNNER:Everybody's...got hair! They put..PRODUCTS IN THEIR HAIR! They're all...dressed real cool! I'm not dressed cool at all! I wear the same shirt, everyday! Deep breath Boston...

HOMESTAR RUNNER:The annual Bi West Boston Clam-Bake!... Audience laughter, blocks out dialogue
HOMESTAR RUNNER:(leaning over building ledge)GREETINGS BOSTON!!! WE'RE STAYING ALIVE!!!...This town's dead, man...
(exits off left screen)
Cut to MATT CHAPMAN with HOMESTAR puppet with woman who is comically kissing HOMESTAR puppet
HOMESTAR RUNNER:WOW....I'm-I'm leavin Marzipan..
Woman hugs HOMESTAR puppet
HOMESTAR RUNNER:Wha-? Oh. Hi. Thanks. Where's...the rest of the chicks?
WOMAN:Um...There's some over there...We have lots of chicks fans!
MIKE:This is a geek conference man...
WOMAN:Homestar-
HOMESTAR RUNNER:(to MIKE) I KNOW...
WOMAN:Homestar, all the chicks love you, why don't they wear your T-Shirt?
HOMESTAR RUNNER:I don't know! You're not wearing my T-Shirt..
WOMAN:(laughing) No...Sorry!
HOMESTAR RUNNER:WHAT'S THE DEAL??
(Laughter)
