The Interwiki Links
Do you think there should also be an interwiki link for this wiki itself? It could be used in the Stub template so it doesn't appear as an external link... EDSMILDE
I edited the stub template to add the plainlinks
class. That should take the arrow off the link. — Joey (talk·edits) 22:58, 18 May 2005 (UTC)
1000th article
Congratulations on the thousandth article! That's really cool. And a good article too! (But would it be possible to add a sample of each font to it? I think it would be a good addition, but that's far too 'coding' for myself to attempt). But congratulations. I'm jealous now. Although I think I still have you beat with making the last change of the old server, AND the first change of the new one... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 05:59, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
- What's the 1000th article? EDSMILDE
- We should do something special to commemorate this milestone. --Rgb9000 00:47, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
- I know! I'll say 'one thousand', one thousand times. *Ahem*. Ummm... Never mind, it's been done before. We could all mail cakes to Joeyday.... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 18:40, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

How do I sign a comment?
Yes,I'm feeling like a blonde right now.But sewiously,how DO you sign a comment?
- Hm, I guess it doesn't say how to do that in very many places around here, but it's real easy. Just put four tildes in a row (like this:
~~~~
). Three tildes in a row will do your signature without the timestamp, and five tildes in a row will do just the timestamp. You can change how your signature gets displayed using the "nickname" box in the preferences panel. Feel free to ask me any other questions you need answers to. I hope your first few weeks as a registered user have been a good experience. We're really glad to have you around. —Joey (talk·edits) 21:45, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
- Thankies! So, tildes? That's what them squiggly things are called? Okie! My first signed comment! Ookelaylay 20:04, 21 May 2005 (UTC)
Monday Night Chats?
So how about it? Feel like adding a permanent notice somewhere, or a site notice every Monday evening about a monday night chat on that chat room thing? Is this a good idea? Whaddayathink? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 02:06, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
- Uh, I'm a step ahead of you. I've already added a section to the HRWiki:IRC channel page and built a scheduled chat site notice template. —
Joey (talk·edits) 03:13, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
- Oh wow. Thanks man, that's pro. Maybe we should tell all the sysops about it, so that there's always somebody to turn the site notice on/off. Unless there's some kind of auto timed on/off feature... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 04:52, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Removal of "Email this user" link on userpages
I notice that users are no longer able to email each other through the wiki. Was this change due to the abuse of email or SPAM activity? One may see why I might be concerned as I currently have a link on my user page (now broken) that goes to a special page "Emailuser" which no longer exists. Did I miss something? —THE PAPER PREEEOW 18:04, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
- I just turned it back on. It must've defaulted to off in a recent upgrade. Sorry for the inconvenience. —
Wha?
Sorry for annoying you, but was the site down yesterday for anyone? Because when I tryed to go on the wiki, it said the owners bandwidth was exceeded. Firebird (sorry for draging you in to this) says you're the owner. So, um, I don't know what i'm supposed to expect. An apologie? No, just saying. --Dinoshaur 15:52, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- HRWiki is a very popular site. We get
5 GBabout 100 GB of transfer bandwidth per month, but if we use it up before the month ends, then we get the error message that we all (it wasn't just you) experienced. In a 31-day month it's likely that we'll run out of bandwidth. — It's dot com 16:34, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- This is accurate except for the "5GB" part. We use about 20 times that amount. — InterruptorJones 17:35, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Oh. I was guessing based on the Goleman Networks page that outlines their hosting plans and how much our monthly fee is. I thought 5 GB sounded kinda low... — It's dot com 17:51, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, right, so i'm gonna leave JoeyDay alone now. Goodbye! --Dinoshaur 17:00, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
In relation to the new e-mail boxes
I've noticed that the font in the new e-mail boxes is not quite that of their respective computers, and so I searched for a download of Lappy's font, Glitch0. I haven't the foggiest how to implement it, and I'm not going to risk messing something up trying, so here's a download link for Glitch0, in case it is possible to correct the font for the Lappy: Glitch0 (note that I'm telling you this because you were the one who created the boxes, if I'm not sorely mistaken) Suicune64 01:53, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- The problem is that it will only appear as Glitch0 on another person's computer if they have that font installed. «Rob» 06:24, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, should have been obvious, don't know why I didn't realize that. Suicune64 11:54, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- The emails are supposed to be in 〈blockquotes〉 now aren't they?EDSMILDE
- Actually, wait. Is it possible to set up the font-family to have Glitch0 first for if the user has the font, and then whatever other font? EDSMILDE
Web-Friendly Help
In mile, where marzipan says 'I heart that cheat' there's supposed to be a heart in both the transcript and the fun facts section. Because the heart was never a web-friendly heart, it keeps getting changed to a '?'. Would you be able to web-friendly/validate those hearts? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 04:14, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)
